Neutrophils are a variety of bacterial flora and white blood cells that work to protect our body from Candida. Unfortunately, it’s become quite common recently, which is partially because of the ways we are treated at the doctors and the way we live our lives. For example, antibiotics, chlorine, and alcohol all actually kill bacterial flora, making it easier for us to fall victim to Candida.
The number one organ in our body affected most by Candida is our liver. Our livers receive a large supply of blood coming directly from our intestines, which is typically where Candida overgrowth begins. When it spreads into our liver, it chemically influences the organ to actually change our appetite, making us desire foods that feed Candida more! These foods are fermented or aged usually, and/or also include substantial amounts of sugar. This doesn’t mean that you’re going to want to gorge on them, but the slow and sure Candida will grow and create even more distress within organs.
As previously stated, Candida causes an array of symptoms, and proper diagnosis and treatment is required if diagnosed with this overgrowth. These symptoms include:
- Headaches
- Sleep Problems
- Depression
- Irritability and Confusion
- Irregular Heart Beat
- Dizziness and Numbness
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
- Anxiety Attacks
- Poor Memory
- Sugar Cravings
- Metabolic Syndrome
- Acid Reflux
- Hypoglycemia
- Bloating, Flatulence or Abdominal Pain
- Constipation and/or Diarrhea
- Eczema, Rashes and/or Psoriasis
- Athlete’s Foot, Vaginal Yeast Infections, Fungal Toenails, Ringworm, etc.
- Dilated Pupils
- Prematurely Graying Hair
- Fatigue
- Muscle or Joint Pain/ Fibromyalgia
- Swelling
- Cold Feet and Hands
- Dark Circles Under Eyes
We should also mention that treatment has the ability to significantly reduce these symptoms, but it’s not guaranteed that it can completely get rid of them. For example, getting rid of something like depression may need to be helped along by receiving therapy. Depression is actually the most common symptom of the yeast overgrown. Why? It can be attributed to the circulation that keeps the brain going, or we should say, the blood that is feeding the brain is infected with Candida. However, with proper treatment, this can be reversed.
Thankfully, treating Candida is not very painful. Typically, patients will be prescribed an anti-fungal diet, probiotics, and plant-derived prescribed medications. Overall, no more cookies and start getting to know sauerkraut a bit better!
