Here Are 10 Or So Foods That Detox As Well As Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is an important detoxifier – and a great thing to consume for its many general health benefits, including as an aid in digestion. But there are other foods and drinks that can help you just as much with getting rid of heavy metals and other impurities in your body.

Try these foods to support healthy digestive, immune and lymphatic systems and better brain function too:

Magnesium citrate dissolved in water. It may sound simple, but magnesium citrate dissolved in water makes an excellent detox drink. This vital nutrient stimulates the cells so that toxins are released into the bloodstream where they can be carried away. Combine the magnesium with zinc for even better effect since zinc is an antioxidant and eliminates free radicals while removing built-up heavy metals. As a bonus, magnesium is proven to be calming and relaxing.

Black walnuts and other nuts. Nuts don’t just add crunch, taste and protein to your meals or snacks. They also strengthen the body’s own detoxing abilities. Black walnuts are a special favorite of integrative medicine specialists because they have antimicrobial properties and can kill parasites. Capsules are available, but you can just eat more nuts or try nut oils for your salad dressings.

Red clover. Most of us don’t eat many flowers, so you may have to take this one in supplement form. It both detoxifies the liver and serves as a blood cleanser, and it’s available in capsule or tea form. It’s also a nice idea to get a red clover plant for your home to help clean and purify the air. Houseplants refresh the air better than anything else.

Turmeric. The Western world doesn’t eat a lot of turmeric, and that’s a shame. Like other some yellow foods, turmeric is full of antioxidants and can help reduce inflammation while supporting good digestion. One way that’s popular to take the spice today is as golden milk – coconut milk seasoned with turmeric as well as ginger, pepper and honey. These things are also good for your skin.

Cilantro. Taco lovers, rejoice! Cilantro – also called coriander – binds up heavy metals in your body and helps you expel them. If you don’t like tacos (really?), add coriander to the top of chili, mix it in with scrambled eggs or include it in a salad. Any way you like it, adding cilantro to your diet in some form helps detoxify. If you don’t like it, try hiding it in soups and stews – just watch out that its strong flavor doesn’t overpower.

And here are some other foods that detoxify:

  • Coconut oil, which you can use in stir-fries or baking
  • Most fish, which contains omega-3 fatty acids
  • Herbal teas, including delicious dandelion tea
  • Watermelon, which hydrates and fights inflammation
  • Smoothies, because you can hide so many detoxifiers inside

We could go on and on. But you get the idea. Eating healthy foods and adding smart supplements to your diet can help you get rid of impurities for the best life possible.

And eating isn’t the only way to detox. Detoxifying foot pads from BodyPure allow you to get detoxifying benefits while you sleep. Simply wear a pad on one foot while you’re in bed – and let the power of bamboo vinegar detoxify your body in ways you can’t accomplish while you’re awake.

When you eat detoxifying foods and take other actions designed to remove toxins from your body, you’re doing all you can to cleanse and rejuvenate your body so you feel great. And who wouldn’t like a bit more energy, stamina and clarity?
